Castel Rametz

The first time that Rametz Castle was mentioned as an known wine-growing estate dates back to 1200. They say that in 1860 the first Pinot Noir grape-vine in South Tyrol was grown and planted in these wine-yards. Castel Rametz is specially positioned on a hill formed by blacial deposits - and the perfect climate of South Tyrol combined with the Gyot vines produce high quality grapes.
